Analytica Hiring for Senior Communications Specialist at Washington, DC Full Time

Analytica is currently seeking a remoteSenior Communications Specialist to provide essential support for multiple ongoing engagements with federal government clients in the Washington DC metro area within the ASA Office of HHS. The ideal candidate will excel in working directly with client product owners, demonstrating expertise in both consulting and delivery roles. This individual will play a vital role in facilitating digital transformation and modernization initiatives.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Support the Scrum Master and/or Client Product Owner in creating user stories and acceptance criteria, and collaborate with the Scrum Master/PM during activities such as sprint planning and daily stand-up meetings.
• Facilitate constructive discussions with leadership and support teams to refine the client’s definition of success and identify any existing roadblocks, focusing on both internal and external communications.
• Apply established process improvement methodologies, such as business process reengineering, design thinking, theory of constraints, and continuous process improvement, when approaching process design or process enhancement for improved internal and external communication strategies.
• Assess the scope, complexity, and dependencies of solutions by evaluating business rules, use cases, user stories, and clarifying estimates in collaboration with the Dev team, keeping in mind the diverse communication needs.
• Document requirements for solutions that align with business strategies, system needs, and specifications, incorporating models or diagrams like process mapping, decision tables, value streams, and data flows to support both internal and external communication requirements.
• Collaborate on root cause analysis, business rule application, workflow optimization, and internal/external interface coordination to ensure effective communication impacts both within the team and in external interactions.
• Conduct necessary testing, including functional testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), automated acceptance testing (AAT), and specification by example, to ensure seamless communication mechanisms both internally and externally.
• Foster trust, respect, and positive relationships with technical and non-technical team members to promote collaborative internal and external communication strategies.

Qualifications:

• B.A. or B.S. degree in Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field is a plus
• 5+ years of experience in managing internal and external communications within Agile project environments, with prior experience in roles related to communication strategies and practices
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, strong teamwork aptitude, and exceptional communication skills encompassing verbal, written, and presentation proficiency
• Experience in creating content for social media platforms to effectively engage target audiences and enhance communication outreach
• Utilization of collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and Microsoft Office for efficient coordination of internal and external communication efforts
• Outstanding organizational abilities and keen attention to detail to effectively manage and streamline internal and external communication processes
• Ability to obtain a US Federal Clearance for seamless engagement in projects with government agencies
• Past exposure to application development concepts is advantageous for comprehensive comprehension of technical and communication aspects
• Relevant certifications like CBAP, CCBA, CSM, CSPO, CSP, and ITIL are beneficial for enhancing expertise in communication strategies and practices within Agile contexts.
