What We Are Looking For:

The Vice President of Human Resources will have full ownership of creating and incorporating HR strategies for the HR department. You will be a key partner to the executive team and employees across the organization by providing expertise and consultation across all facets of Human Resources, with a particular emphasis on ensuring that our practices, policies, and procedures are compliant and scalable. While this is a leadership role, we’ll be looking for you to develop strategies and roll up your sleeves to see them through. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience bridging global teams, building a scalable HR infrastructure across headquarters and retail fleet.; previous work in the apparel industry is a major plus!

Responsibilities:

• Lead Human Resources operations and ensure they are aligned with business objectives with employees and management in designated business units including retail operations.
• Strategic partner with the management team to ensure Human Resources (HR) priorities align with company’s goals and objectives and support all teams
• Partner with leadership on organizational design, growth initiatives, workforce planning, employee relations/engagement, and maintaining our culture as we scale the business
• Lead and be hands-on in the strategic direction on all aspects of Human Resources including recruiting, onboarding, compliance, benefits administration, leave of absence management, performance and compensation management, employee relations, onboarding and terminations, and payroll
• Engage with employees on employee relations matters, cultural initiatives, and day-to-day process development and improvement to provide a work environment conducive to success
• Continuingly initiate new and/or modify existing HR policies, and procedures and effectively communicating them to the executive team and employees
• Audit all existing HR policies, practices, and procedures to ensure they are compliant across local, state, and federal laws
• Partner with the management team in the development and execution of talent review and succession planning initiatives
• Oversee full-cycle recruiting for all levels of approved positions.
• Develop talent acquisition strategies and hiring plan; proactively build applicant pipelines to meet current and future business needs
• Continually develop employees and their skills, and develop management training programs to ensure a high performing team
• Monitor employee morale and resolve complex employee relations issues, including conducting employee investigations as needed
• Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures organization’s compliance with local, state and federal laws

Qualifications:

• 15+ years of HR and recruiting experience
• Experiencing working with operations in multiple states, including NY & CA.
• International Experience a Plus.
• Must have degree in HR or Business Management along with PHR or SHRM Certification.
• Experience managing HR for corporate and retail environments
• Must have strong knowledge of employment and labor laws, and knowledge of what laws and guidelines apply at various company sizes across the country
• Proven track record of excellent leadership skills, recruiting, retaining, and developing a positive culture with high-performing teams
• Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills
• Demonstrated ability and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information
• A “no job too big or small” ownership attitude
• A desire to help people become the best they can be – driving performance everywhere across the organization

Perks & Benefits

• Salary range for this position is $140,000-$200,000 based on relevant experience. Bonus eligibility may be considered for this role.
