Job Description
Nature of Work: Assists with the various personnel transactions within two governmental systems, State Merit and Anne Arundel County Government. Knowledgeable of and assists the Human Resource Officer in managing multiple different types of employment categories.
Minimum Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalency (GED)
Experience: Five years of experience plus one year of professional experience involving: recruitment and employment, classification and compensation, employee relations, test development and validation, job analysis, job evaluation, salary administration, HR program evaluation or HR policy formulation AND an additional four years of professional management experience in the areas of recruitment and selection, classification, salary administration, employee relations, test development and validation, or as a generalist.
Notes: Must have a current Maryland driver’s license with a clear driving record.
Desired or Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience working with SPMS, Workday, JobAps or other similar HRIS systems. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and on a team. Excellent written and oral communication skills; computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the entire Microsoft Office Suite and Google apps; and interpersonal skills to relate to a wide variety of staff, employees and members of the public.
