As the Human Resources Assistant, you will work with a dedicated HR team and perform a variety of HR-related duties on a professional level in support of department-specific strategies and the overall mission of the organization. Key job responsibilities:
Respond to frequently asked questions from Team Members relative to standard HR policies and processes, referring and/or collaborating on more complex questions with appropriate HR team members or management.
Conduct new hire onboarding including I-9 verifications, while providing Team Members with a welcoming and inclusive experience.
Ensure timely and accurate entries of information into the HRIS database such as, but not limited to, Team Member personal data, compensation, change of status, and termination information.
File documents into appropriate Team Member e-files.
Perform periodic audits of HR files, records and documentation ensuring that all required documents are current and accurately filed.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of HR files and records.
Perform administrative tasks related to LOAs, pay increases, onboarding, terminations, etc. including maintaining HR spreadsheets.
Promptly respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests, prepare correspondence as requested.
Contribute to HR team and corporate projects intended to improve processes and procedures by assisting in research and identifying solutions.
Assist with HR projects and other duties as requested or assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Minimum of two years HR experience, or combination of education and experience.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
Working experience in a high volume, fast paced environment.
Preferred (not required) Education and Experience:
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
Call Center experience.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Working understanding of HR principles, practices, and procedures.
Effective communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal.
Capable of working with sensitive and confidential situations demonstrating tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
Highly skilled at prioritizing tasks, excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to meet established deadlines.
Meticulous attention to detail, strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Highly motivated and results oriented, able to function well in a fast-paced environment and change focus quickly as demands change.
Strong computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office (highly skilled in Excel).
Experienced with HRIS software systems, and capable of quickly learning and efficiently operating proprietary software developed by the company.
Must be able to work in team based collaborative environment.
Ability to work from home and maintain high-speed broadband internet with router/modem connection meeting requirements of at least 10 Mbps Upload and 10 Mbps Download. (We provide the rest – computer, monitor, mouse, keyboard, headset, cables, and camera!)
Flexible to work additional hours as influenced by business needs.
