Benefits/HR Administrator Responsibilities

As a benefits administrator to Innovo clients, you will provide ongoing HR benefits services to the client contacts and perhaps directly to their employees. This position may require travel to our office in Concord, MA, and clients across New England, but it will likely be very minimal. Desired schedule: Monday through Friday with flexibility to work 10-20 hours per week remotely.

The overall role will require an understanding of the following topics:

• Onboarding, including set up of HRIS employee records, presentation of general HR and benefits orientations
• Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), including analysis, implementation, and ongoing management of selected HRIS systems
• Benefits Administration, including coordination with our brokerage side of the business in managing benefit enrollments, payroll coordination, problem resolution, COBRA administration, vendor management, open enrollment management, communications, and systems support
• Client & Employee Relationships, providing support and guidance on benefit administration, HRIS systems, benefit plans, enrollments, and education
• Benefits Knowledge, understanding of various employee benefit programs including group health, flexible spending accounts, health care savings and reimbursement accounts, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance
• COBRA Administration, understanding of the COBRA administration, notification, and deadline requirements
• Training, provide training to clients on HRIS systems

Experience & Skills Required:

• Very strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage and prioritize many tasks at once
• Ability to work independently and manage consulting efforts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Positive, client-first attitude, and willingness to go the extra mile when needed
• Great team player with willingness to help others
• Associates or Bachelors’ degree preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in benefits administration or human resources
• Proficiency in all Microsoft products as well as experience with various HRIS and benefits administration systems
