Summary / Role Purpose

The Senior Manager’s primary responsibility is to manage the global Technical Operations team and ensure professional and efficient operational support within the ACE team. The team is aligned with maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction and providing improved productivity and operational efficiency to the Sales team. The position handles all policy and process related issues related to the team, managing operational initiatives for the Technical Operations function, and coordinating activities with other parts of the business. The Senior Manager is also responsible for managing the hiring, terminating employment, performance appraisals and goal setting and pay reviews for all members of the team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Managing global Team
  • Directly manage regional Managers and Supervisors.
  • Conduct and deliver mid-year and annual performance reviews, set annual goals for the team and direct reports.
  • Review the annual engagement survey details to gauge and drive positive change in the team.
• Functional Leadership of the team’s staff
  • Manage and oversee the tasks and operations associated with the team.
  • Collaborate with regional ACE leadership to improve overall productivity and operational efficiencies related to customer satisfaction and the Sales team.
  • Create and maintain the administrative processes followed by the global team.
  • Use scalable and consistent processes to improve operational efficiency across the global team.
  • Disseminate best practices and develop team working at a global level through weekly team meetings.
  • Develop and operationalize ‘follow-the-sun’ processes where applicable to maximize use of resources.
  • Develop and maintain metrics for the Technical Operations function.
• ACE Operational tasks
  • Manage and oversee Quality System processes related to ACE Technical Services.
  • Manage and oversee ACE time reporting to ACE leadership.
  • Manage the development and usage of the ACE Skills database.
• Acquisitions Integration Project management
  • Represent Technical Operations and collaborate with acquisitions to ensure they are aligned with Technical Operations’ policies and procedures.
• Facilitate Communication, Best practices, and process improvement for Technical Operations
  • Facilitate excellent communication within the team and with Business Operations and Sales Order Operations to streamline activities and improve operational efficiency.
  • Ensure advocacy for the Technical Operations staff by representing the team within the larger organization.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or related field.
• Required education and degree type: BS or MS or PhD in Mechanical/Chemical/Aerospace/Electrical Engineering or related field
• Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+12, MS+10, or PhD+7
• Strong management of direct and indirect staff and projects required.
• Advanced knowledge of presentation and spreadsheet software, such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Strong logical problem-solving and data analysis skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English, with interpersonal skills.
• Excellent leadership skills to motivate staff to reach company goals under deadlines.
• Works well with other managers to streamline processes, maintain high level of customer satisfaction and improve operational efficiency across the business.
• Ability to handle sensitive, complex, and confidential information.
• Projects a professional image and demonstrates business acumen, driven to succeed.
• Extensive working knowledge of database/CRM systems.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

• Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: BS+14, MS+12, or PhD+10
• Preferred number of years ofindustryand leadership experience: 4
• Ability to interact effectively with senior business managers and C-level executives
• Experienced in data analytics, workflow automation and business dashboard creation using advanced tools, e.g. Alteryx, SQL, Excel VBA, PowerBI, Python.
• Experienced in requirement definition, stakeholder alignment, vender selection, implementation and rolling out Enterprise Business Software Solutions for a large organization, e.g. SAP, Salesforce, Service Cloud, Oracle, Exactly, Sales Cloud.
