Mission and responsibilities

Our Services & Solutions division regroups 1,600 employees across 25 countries, of which USA, Canada and Mexico regrouped in the NAFTA region. As HR Manager NAFTA, you will report to the Head of the Region and will be responsible for the following activities:

Payroll/Benefits

• Manage payroll for US entities, audit responsibility for Canada and Mexico

• Coordinate US benefit programs for cost/value as instructed by CEO; managing the benefit programs once implemented.

• Member of the 401K team, point of contact for Merrill Lynch and Accensus – management of this program as instructed by CEO

HR management

• Employee Maintenance, Annual Goals, Performance reviews

• Supporting the annual merit process and salary reviews with the managers, assisting in establishing Exempt and Non-Exempt goals, mid and end year reviews & preparation of total reward statements

• Termination of employees updating MyHR software, legal compliance, corporate compliance and cobra compliance.

• Creation and completion of Job Requisitions in MyHR system, following up for approval, onboarding local payroll & benefits.

• Develop best channel for recruiting

• Supporting and tracking employee E-learning program

Liaison with the broader HR

• Monthly HR Meeting with all S&S HR Managers in the Aperam Group hosted by the Head of HR of the division; implementing corporate policy locally

• Respect deadlines from corporate for the following : mid and end year reviews, reporting, e- learning , goals, etc

• Manage two-way flow of information with the HR global platform.

Your profile

• Good knowledge of HR rules & regulations, as well as experience with 401K plans and laws

• Bachelor’s degree required

• Strong computer skills, including knowledge of google docs

• Maintain a very high level of confidentiality and transparency with the CEO of North America and Aperam Global HR

• 5 years minimum previous experience in HR required

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
