Apple’s worldwide sales organization is seeking an Internal Communications Manager to lead world-class internal communications for Apple employees across all geographies. Appleʼs sales organization generates the revenue needed to fuel our ongoing development of products and services. This in turn enriches the lives of hundreds of millions of people around the world. Our sales team is in many ways the face of Apple to our largest customer base. You will be responsible for leading and managing internal communications for the “Apple in business” story. You will connect our global sales teams with our purpose by communicating how Apple’s ecosystem of products, services, and partnerships is best for business. You will use your art of storytelling in creating amazing communication experiences through a variety of channels. Your credo will be to elevate the employee experience and make them feel informed, engaged, and inspired so they can do their best work. We’re looking for someone who is a high-energy, proactive, communication expert who can manage a robust editorial content. You should be highly organized and able to thrive in a fast-paced, complex environment. The ability to communicate clearly and concisely is a requirement. This position can be based on-site at our Apple campus in Cupertino, CA or Austin, TX.
Key Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of successfully leading editorial and content teams, and creating and driving content strategies that build and grow audiences.
- A great brainstormer, capable of generating big ideas, with a creative approach to storytelling.
- Experience in an internal comms organization or news outlet, or in publishing, corporate communications, or brand marketing.
- A passion for strengthening culture and productivity, and for building community within a global, diverse workforce.
- A journalistic attitude, excellent editorial judgment, and superb writing and copyediting skills.
- Strong leadership skills, with an emphasis on collaboration to rally people and influence to get things done.
- Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to drive multiple priorities simultaneously and deliver quality work under deadline pressure.
- A self-starter who is comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment.
Description
– Strategically plan weekly and monthly editorial calendars to publish news announcements, journalistic-style news articles, and customer success stories. – Collaborate closely with a wide variety of stakeholders across Apple to produce communications and content that tells the story of Apple in business. – Act as a consultant and advisor to our internal partners to help them strategize and execute communications with the right messaging, in the right format, through the right channel, at the right time. It will be up to you to determine what stories we tell and in what format we tell them. – Manage content production with writers, copyeditors, creative designers, project managers, and publishers with clear, actionable items, and set priorities for deliverables. – Ensure that produced content meets Apple guidelines and standards. – Experiment with new storytelling approaches to drive readership and employee engagement. – Maintain an up-to-date digital library of sales and marketing resources that are communicated through the announcements and stories. – Collaborate with engineering teams to add features and enhancements to our communication platform for an improved user experience.
Education & Experience
Bachelorʼs degree or equivalent experience required.
