Fast Paced Global Transportation company is looking to hire MULTIPLE Freight Biller Clerk’s to support various divisions of the company.
**MUST HAVE previous experience in the following industries: trucking (LTL/FTL/Harbor Drayage), warehousing & distribution, 3PL (third-party logistics), air freight forwarding, ocean freight forwarding, and/or freight transport **
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Efficient, accurate, and timely processing of invoices and transactions.
- Enter and verify all data and information from the Shippers BOL into the transportation system
- Rating, verify customer billing instructions, check credit terms as freight bill are created
- Scan misc documents into the imaging system and 10-key them into the system for electronic filing
- Match paperwork and print out shipping documents
- Other duties as assigned.
**Note: 95% of the Biller’s time is spent using the computer screen, keyboard, and mouse to enter data into the system.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- One year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Transportation experience is preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Read and comprehend simple instructions, read a bill of lading, and related shipping documents.
- Write simple correspondence.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as percentage, cubic feet, CWT, density.
- Ability to apply concepts of basic math.
REASONING ABILITY
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
