POSITION SUMMARY
The Human Resources Business Partner provides vital partnership to one of Aleut Federal’s ever-growing population of employees and leaders in support of our work with Job Corp centers across the country. In this role, you will be partnering with our Job Corp Center’s HR team members at each center, as well as coordinating with the local Center Directors and our internal leadership who support this work. In this role, you will be responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management, formulating partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to the Aleut Federal team that directly affects our business and employees. The HR Business Partner must have excellent communication skills, broad knowledge of labor laws, HR compliance for government contractors, and an enthusiasm to be a part of the Aleut Team
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Conducts regular meetings with respective local Center directors and internal leaders who support this work.
· Consults with local JCC HR personnel, providing HR guidance, leadership, and direction on a regular basis.
· Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
· Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
· Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
· Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to local JCC HR personnel, as well as JCC leaders. (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
· Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
· Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
· Provides guidance and input on potential restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
· Identifies training needs for business and individual executive coaching needs.
· Partners with the other departments to ensure programs and initiatives are implemented wholistically.
· Travels to different Job Corps Centers to perform site visits, phase-ins of new centers, and be a visible presence for center staff.
· Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION/TRAINING
· Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
· Relevant work experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
EXPERIENCE
· 4 to 9 years of experience in the human resources field
· Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including but not limited to compensation practices, organizational assessment, diversity and inclusion, performance management, employee relations, and federal and state employment laws.
· Experience in government contracting and/or Job Corp Center specific experience.
· Willingness to obtain a certification through SHRM or HRCI is preferred.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
· Ability to pass a pre-employment background screening.
· Some travel (25%) is required.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
