Purpose and Objective of the Position
We are looking for an individual to join our company as a Human Resource Generalist! The HR Generalist will act as the first point of contact for HR-related inquiries from employees. He/she would primarily be responsible for processing payroll, updating/maintaining personnel records, updating benefits databases, understanding & communicating employee benefits. The ideal candidate has HR experience and can manage tasks in a timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the Position
• Onboard new employees
• Process all payroll cycles (bi-weekly, monthly, and bonus cycles)
• Work with Department Managers to create Job Descriptions for open positions and screen potential candidates including interviewing candidates
• Act as the liaison between Warson employees and our benefit providers (medical, dental, vision, 401k, disability, etc.)
• Participate in the annual evaluation and selection of various employee benefit programs
• First point of contact for employees
• Update and maintain company handbook
• Track employee Paid Time Off
• Correspond with state social services for employee garnishments
• Review and approve monthly benefit providers invoices
• Investigating incidents
• Overseeing the annual review process and corrective actions
• Travel (up to 25%) to support Warehouse Management team in the same duties and responsibilities noted above
• Assist with coordinating and planning corporate events
• Book travel arrangements for employees
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information is required

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
1) Bachelor’s degree preferred
2) 2+ years of HR generalist or administrator experience required
3) Experience in positions requiring significant attention to detail, above-average accuracy, regular independent problem solving, and the ability to multi-task
4) Prior experience utilizing verbal and written professional communication skills to include business composition, and effective writing and speaking
5) A working knowledge of the operation of standard office equipment
6) Basic proficiency in MS Office, ERP (e.g. MAS, Net Suite, Oracle, SAP),
7) Demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment, functioning for the good of the team over the individual
