IIMC is seeking a DIRECT HIRE HR Generalist located in Greenwood, Indiana. This position will “wear multiple hats” in the HR function and will handle payroll, recruiting, benefits administration, absence management, employee relations, etc. GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The human resources member performs duties at the professional level in some or all of the following functional areas: employee relations, training, employment, affirmative action and employment equity program, benefits management, and payroll functions. This position requires an extremely perceptive person who is capable of relating to individuals at all levels within the organization. The generalist must be sensitive to corporate needs, employee goodwill and the business needs. • Performs duties related to payroll operations, including maintaining payroll information and updating payroll records, processing time records and processing payroll for all staff. • Maintains all employee and applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies. • Completes census data and tracking for ACA reporting. • Responsible for organizing new hire orientation for all new hires and rehires, including completion of payroll and benefit information and reviewing company policies and procedures. • Manages and tracks all employee disciplinary action. • Coaches, counsels and guides managers before executing employee disciplinary actions. • Maintains and processes all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary. • Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (reviews applications, interviews). • Acts as an employee relations specialist. • Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued on employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems. Reports vacation, sick, personal day and holiday use to payroll and scheduling. Maintains and distributes report of same

Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Must Have: – 3-5 years of HR background where they are handling more than 1 function of HR within a company (payroll, employee relations, recruiting, benefits, etc. – HRIS experience; IIMC utilizes Ascentis (candidate can have ADP, Paycom, Paylocity, UKG, etc). – Ideal candidate comes from a small to midsized company (50-500 employees) where they are wearing multiple hats in HR. NICE TO HAVE: – SHRM certification (not required) – Health care background DISQUALIFIER: – Cannot have ONLY one function of HR (i.e. only worked in payroll, or only worked in Talent Acquisition)
