• Logistics Coordinator* for a large and growing logistics organization located in
• Washington, WV*. If you have strong logistics experience and communication skills, explore the various other benefits this opportunity can deliver: Responsibilities:
• Receive shipment request: (electronic, phone, fax, e-mail, or hard copy).
• Optimizing shipments to / from Warehouses to Customers
• Assign ship dates based on required / requested delivery date
• Review order ‘special instructions’ to ensure delivery compliance.
• Assign all LTL, Truckload, and Air carrier tenders in system.
• Manage carrier acceptance including refusals of tendered shipments, enter refusals in transportation management system (TMS)
• Perform Freight Dispatch and tendering for shipments for the following modes:
• Truckload
• Less-than-truckload
• Intermodal
• Air
• Small Package
• LCL Shipments
• Ensure appointment assignments are communicated via EDI tender to carrier
• Tracking critical shipments on a daily basis.
• Identifying additional areas for improvement opportunities.
• Implementing and tracking improvement opportunities identified.
• Advise Plant / Warehouses of carrier assignment, loading sequence, and pickup ETA’s for all businesses. Interface with Carrier dispatch / operations to resolve carrier related issues and carrier complaint creation.
• Third-Party Logistics | Excel Data Entry | Invoice Processing | Inventory Management | Vendor Management*
• Additional Skills & Qualifications:*
• Logistics Experience or related field preferred
• Proficient in EDI Software & Microsoft Excel
• Ability to meet deadlines effectively
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills Shift: 8am-5pm Monday – Friday Remote opportunity with equipment provided – needs to be commutable to Washington, WV office 6 month contract to hire *company wants to retain a permanent employee*
