This is a professional opportunity for a business minded, hands-on HR professional who has demonstrated they are able to execute projects, make an impact, and is a true change agent. Under the guidance of the Director Human Resources, the Human Resources Manager will lead and execute talent acquisition/staffing, employee relations, coaching and counseling of management team to maximize the contribution of our associates. This individual will be responsible for the development and administration of HR policies and procedures, as well as administering corporate policies. This position has a strong relationship with the SBU VP/GM and Functional leadership team and must be able to understand business issues and bring solutions that advance the greater interests of the business.
What you’ll do:
Serve as a business partner focusing on brokering solutions to business problems by collaborating with BU and functional leadership to get input on HR decisions and ensure delivery of high-quality HR processes.
Manage Talent acquisition process for customer group including recruiting, screening and interviewing applicants to fill requisitions, create and update job descriptions as needed, train hiring managers on Atkores Recruitment and Selection process.
Collaborates with field HRBPs and lead the development of programs, policies, procedures and standards regarding acquiring, developing and retaining talent; analyzes and compiles people-related metrics and provides data driven solutions.
Act as SME for field plant HR operation processes and creates standard work for HR roles across multiple locations; provide remote and on-site HR support to plant locations as needed as supplemental and/or interim HR support for Mechanical, Security and other field operations locations as needed.
As needed, support the merger & acquisition process with particular focus on cultural integration.
Focuses on creating a positive associate relations environment and culture.
What you’ll bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Labor Relations or related field.
At least 7 years of relevant Human Resources experience
Labor relations experience strongly preferred
Excellent computer skills with ability to analyze information and create reports
Ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult, and emotional issues
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Within 3 months, you’ll:
Complete your Atkore immersion program.
Understand how your job will help deliver Atkore’s strategy.
Gain an understanding of your role, the HR organization, and the organization you support.
Gain an understanding of the training materials and procedures your role requires
Within 6-months, you’ll:
Be leading the recruitment process for the openings in the groups you support
Identify opportunities to improve standard processes related to the HRBP role
Establish strong working relationships with the leadership team you support as well as build rapport with employees
Identify ways to strengthen the team’s commitment to Atkore’s core values of Accountability, Teamwork, Integrity, Respect and Excellence.
Within 12-months, you’ll:
Be leading projects to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the HR role within the Safety & Infrastructure BU
Have meaningful coaching sessions with your managers on succession planning, performance management, team development, and engagement & alignment and assist them with execution on said initiatives
Have the foundation to be an expert on the HRBP role in order to support other locations within the SBU as needed
