Job Summary
Assists in the daily functions of the HR department including maintaining the HRIS, benefits administration, employee relations, and enforcing company policies and procedures; assists the HR Manager & Director with other aspects of HR administration such training, and employee recognition.

Essential Functions

• Onboards newly hired employees, and provides orientation on HR policies, internal procedures and regulations.

• Maintains physical and HRIS digital files for employees, and employment and benefits records.

• Assists in implementing and administering employee morale and recognition plans and programs.

• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

• Ensures legal compliance with applicable local state and federal employment laws, including but not limited to FLSA, FMLA and ADAAA

• Assists the HR Manager & Director with other aspects of HR management such as employee relations, training, and benefits administration.

• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

• Works closely with other members of the Human Resources Team to coordinate work and support the Team goals.

• Maintains a high level of confidentiality in handling Company and Employee information.

• Maintains positive and effective relationships with all business contacts inside and outside the Company.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Management, or related field preferred.

• Minimum of two years of professional human resources generalist experience with strong track record of accomplishments and advancement.

• One year minimum of experience in benefits administration.

• One year minimum of experience with HRIS system(s) and HR analytics preferred.

• Thorough knowledge of employment and labor laws and regulations, particularly those related to equal employment.

• Highly effective interpersonal skills and ability to gain the trust and confidence of Company management, department managers, and employees.

• Ability to accurately, clearly and effectively write internal and external correspondences, and documentations that meet employee and management needs as well as legal requirements.

• Mid-level to advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.

• Excellent verbal communications skills.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to compile and analyze data and statistics; high level of attention to details and accuracy.

• Outstanding organizational skills and abilities.

• Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities at the same time, meeting deadlines and goals.

• High level of self-motivation and ability to work independently; strong sense of urgency in completing projects and meeting deadlines.

• Strong customer service attitude.

• Highly professional attitude and appearance.

• Texas Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.

• Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR) or SHRM-CP preferred.

• Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

Working Conditions
Work environment is in office area in an industrial environment.
