Human Resource Information Analyst
General Description
This position is responsible for the support and maintenance of the Human Resource Management System (HRMS) in addition to other systems supported by the HRIS team. This individual serves as a technical point-of-contact for assigned functional areas and assists subject matter experts with ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes, report writing and analyzing data flows for process improvement opportunities. The HRIS Analyst also supports HRMS upgrades, patches, testing and other technical projects as assigned.
Education, Certifications, Licenses & Registrations
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field or equivalent work experience is required.
Experience
This position is for someone at an intermediate to senior level.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills
Must be detail oriented; work in a team environment, ability to efficiently plan, organize and complete work assignments within a specific timeframe. Advanced office skills are required. Must be proficient in use of Microsoft Office products and have familiarity with Internet.
Must possess excellent customer service skills. Experience with Oracle is required.
Essential Duties
Writes, maintains and supports a variety of reports or queries utilizing appropriate reporting tools. Assists in the development of standard reports for ongoing customer needs. Helps maintain data integrity in systems by running queries and analyzing data.
Assists in the review, testing and implementation of HRMS system upgrades or patches. Collaborates with functional and technical staff to coordinate the application of upgrades or fixes.
Provides support for HRMS including, but not limited to, researching and resolving HRMS problems, unexpected results or process flaws and recommends solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements.
Use project management skills in managing projects. May provide project management for a given HR initiative.
Develops user procedures, guidelines and documentation. Trains new system users on new processes/functionality.
Assists with projects and tasks as assigned.
