Job Summary:
Responsible for managing the day-to-day functions of all HR programs, policies, practices, processes and supports HR philosophy as it relates to the hospital’s business values and culture. Directly responsible for managing employee relations, rewards and recognition and hospital special events. Position serves on various hospital committees while managing various hospital special projects, performs high level of HR operations, workflow, and customer service. The HR Manager takes lead on organizational-wide initiatives such as BH Lagrange accreditation, Pathway to Excellence and wellness. The HR Manager ensures office operations flow smoothly and a high level of customer service given to applicants, managers, employees, vendors, and visitors.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Implements and facilitates a strategic plan to develop and retain the workforce.
2. Acts as a consultant for leaders on building and supporting a culture of collaboration and inclusion.
3. Serves as a resource for employees on all issues related to human resources.
4. Performs rounding to gather employees’ and leaders’ voices to ensure that needs are being addressed.
5. Serves as a resource in conflict resolution, labor relations, harassment claims, and EEO investigations/charges, while conducting timely fact-finding investigations.
6. Works in partnership with leadership teams in an effort to improve departmental as well as organizational effectiveness.
7. Partners with other HR functions (payroll, compensation, benefits, etc.) to identify, develop and deliver projects that align with business objectives.
8. Utilizes human resources data and analysis tools to translate current and future business needs into integrated strategic plans.
9. Coaches and mentors leaders to achieve a defined human resources management skill set.
10. Promotes management practices that create high performance culture and team effectiveness with a focus on engagement.
11. Continually monitors HR metrics (i.e. turnover, engagement, employee satisfaction) in an effort to facilities the improvement of leadership, organizational and team effectiveness.
12. Conducts timely fact-finding investigations and ensuring complete and accurate documentation.
13. Takes lead on hospital based projects when appropriate.
