Job Summary:

The per diem Accounts Payable Clerk will assist with the daily process of opening the US Mail, printing of invoices received via the Accounts Payable email queues.

Essential Functions:

• Opening/sorting of both paper and digitally mailed vendor invoices
• Coverage for and assist team members in their daily workload
• Review and verify the accuracy of vendor invoices
• Match and process invoices in Peoplesoft Accounts Payable Platform
• Review check requests for proper support and approval prior to processing
• Communications with RWJBarnabas Health team members to obtain approvals to pay
• Interactions with the Materials Management group to resolve invoice discrepancies
• Routing of digitally scanned invoices for coding and approvals via the Micro Graphics workflow system
• Support Audit requests
• Special projects as assigned

Job Requirements:

• College credits in the field of Finance/Accounting required
• Experience in the use of Microsoft Office software
• Use of general office equipment
