Position Summary
The Accountant (Fiscal Analyst 5) position exists to establish and maintain financial systems, policies and procedures while maintaining college’s accounting systems and controls to maintain compliance with college and state rules. The Accountant (Fiscal Analyst 5) will create, prepare, and maintain financial reports and records to comply with state guidelines. The Accountant (Fiscal Analyst 5) reviews reports and records with and reports to the Finance Manager.
Pay, Benefits & Work Schedule
Annual Salary Range: $64,716 – $87,036.
Annual salary will be commensurate with candidate’s qualifications and related experience. Individuals newly hired to Classified group at the college cannot be placed above $84,996 per union bargaining agreement.
We offer comprehensive compensation package with salary and benefits as the main components. Competitive salary is within the Range stated above, and commensurate with qualifications and experience. The employee is scheduled to work 40 hours per workweek. This is a Classified, overtime eligible position and represented by the Washington Public Employee Association of Higher Education (WPEA-HE).

About the Department
The Finance Group supports the college mission by providing accurate and timely financial information for management decision-making. Finance staff work to ensure financial processes and information reporting comply with college policy, state and federal regulations, and accounting standards. Finance staff strives to provide excellent financial services to college staff and students and to support college life, culture and student success.
The Office of Financial Management (OFM) establishes policies and procedures governed by Washington state legislation found in the RCW’s and WAC’s. The State Board for Community and Technical Colleges adds oversight and interpretation of finance and accounting processes. The Finance Office and State Auditor’s office work to ensure compliance with these standards as well as Board approved college policies and procedures.
