Premier Medical Alliance, a multi-specialty physician group located in Emerson, New Jersey has an immediate full-time opening for an experienced Billing Representative – Patient Accounts/Pre-Authorization & Benefits Verification Specialist.

Key Responsibilities:

· Verify insurance benefits and obtain pre-certification for Ambulatory Surgery GI procedure and Anesthesia

· Communicate with insurance companies via phone and electronically

· Contact patients prior to their appointment to inform them of their out-of-pocket responsibility based on insurance plan coverage

· Collect any payments due including any co-pays, deductibles and/or coinsurance

· Review and update registration information for accuracy & completeness

· Other billing related tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

· Prior experience in medical billing, including insurance verification and pre-certification

· Computer experience with Excel, Word, Outlook and Electronic Health Records/Billing Systems

· Knowledge of GI procedures & Anesthesia preferred

· Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

· Strong organizational & communication skills
