Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Android Developer to join our talented development team. As an Android Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our Android-based point of sale platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and backend developers, to create exceptional user experiences and deliver high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable Android applications for our point of sale platform
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to define requirements and implement features
• Write clean, efficient, and testable code
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices
• Debug and resolve software defects and performance issues
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the Android development ecosystem
• Continuously improve development processes and tools to enhance productivity and efficiency

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience developing Android applications using Java or Kotlin
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns
• Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Studio, and development tools
• Experience with RESTful APIs and integration of backend services
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Good understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• Must be able to dive into existing code and familiarize quickly.
• Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and ability to work closely with designers
• Experience with test-driven development (TDD) and writing unit tests
• Previous work on point of sale or payment processing systems is a plus

Pay: $90,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
