Washington County Community Corrections is now hiring a highly collaborative and supportive individual to join our team as a Bilingual Spanish/English Probation and Parole Officer (PPO). An essential function of this role will be supporting a caseload of people from diverse backgrounds. A successful candidate must possess lived and/or professional experiences working with diverse individuals.

Duties of this position include:
Bilingual Position:
Designated bilingual positions require that the incumbent have knowledge of the Spanish language, spelling, grammar, and punctuation. Skill in writing Spanish accurately; ability to speak Spanish fluently; and ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing are required. An additional $75 per paycheck is provided to staff members occupying positions designated as bilingual.

If this position is posted as a full time or part time regular opportunity it is represented by the Federation of Oregon Parole and Probation Officers (FOPPO) collective bargaining agreement.
Regular and limited duration full-time employees working 30 hours or more per week and job share employees are eligible for benefits beginning on the first of the month following employment. Job share employees are responsible for 50% of the premium. Part-time regular, variable hour, and temporary positions are not eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits.
