Job Summary
This a remote, entry level position. The primary function of the Benefit Specialist is to quality check substance abuse/mental health benefits to ensure an accurate quote is provided and provide the information to our clients. This will also consist of multitasking and maintaining a spreadsheet of all requests throughout the department.
Duties/Responsibilities
Complete and return benefit requests to facilities within strict time frames
Call insurance companies to obtain substance abuse/behavioral health benefit information for individuals seeking treatment
Accurately fill out verification of benefit form with all requested information, save and send to clients
Maintain spreadsheet of all verification requests received by the department
Assign work and quality check the work of others
Follow up on and research termed insurance policies
Analyze trends/denials of various insurance policies
