Bioplate is seeking an energetic, self-motivated Accounting Associate interested in becoming part of our growing accounting team. As a member of the Accounting & Finance team, the candidate will focus on monthly, and quarterly closing processes, forecasting, and budgeting. The position will provide financial guidance and business partnership to the Centers of Expertise (CEOs) leadership teams.
Position: Sr. Accountant (hybrid)
Job Responsibilities:
- Assisting monthly financial statements package by reconciling sub-ledger to general ledger account balances.
- Providing outside auditors with assistance – gathers necessary account information and documents to perform a quarterly audit.
- Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement, and changes in financial position/budget variance analysis.
- Assisting in the design and preparation of budgets for review by management.
- Providing management decision support through ad-hoc reporting and analysis.
- Verifies and/or completes payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensures payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
- Assisting in managing timely and quality delivery of multiple tasks, including quarterly audits, projects, special assignments, and administrative activities.
- Performing other accounting duties and supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors in Accounting or Finance.
- In pursuit of a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or relevant certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience performing financial analysis in support of external audits.
- 3-5 years of professional accounting experience (Working knowledge of tax laws and GAAP).
