Role Overview
As part of the People Operations function, you will be responsible for assisting with the administration of Boom’s Total Rewards programs, including benefits and retirement plans. You will be the primary point of contact for new hires and employee questions.
Responsibilities
Support the administration of Boom’s benefits programs including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, flexible spending accounts, and retirement plans
Coordinate travel benefits, including rental car program and travel insurance
Audit the benefits enrollments in the HRIS (UKG) to ensure vendors have accurate eligibility information for benefits status, coverage, and invoices
Perform payroll reconciliations
Support new hire orientations and a positive onboarding experience by presenting benefits overviews and answering general questions
Assist employees regarding benefits claim issues, plan change, and questions
Provide support in answering questions that come through Boom’s ticketing system, ZenDesk
Process qualifying life events and guide employees through the process
Process contribution changes for programs including HSA and 401(k)
Partner with the operations function to organize Boom’s COVID policies and management
Ensure up-to-date information is posted on the company intranet pertaining to Boom’s benefits programs
Play an important role in the rollout of annual Open Enrollment cycles: distributing information, facilitating Q&A sessions, supporting HRIS updates, audits, and more
Assist with financial reporting related to the benefits programs
Plan annual shot clinic at onsite location(s)
Join the partnership with our benefits brokers with the goal to continually look for ways to strengthen Boom’s Total Rewards
Exercise judgment and discretion in seeking advice to ensure compliance with federal laws such as ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA and state laws in regard to the multiple states in which our clients do business
Act as back up to the Sr. Benefits & Payroll Manager for payroll processing and answering general questions regarding pay policies and procedures
Qualifications:
2+ years in benefits administration
Strong customer service mindset to provide excellent support to all employees
Knowledge of employee total rewards and applicable laws
Experience with UKG preferred
Ability to maintain confidentiality and deal tactfully with sensitive information
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills
Compensation:
The Base Salary Range for this position is $63,500 – $75,000 and represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Boom’s total rewards package for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives/equity, an open PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
