THIS POSITION IS APPOINTIVE SERVICE

$2,511.67 to $2,762.84 biweekly. Actual salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Performs skilled professional work managing and administering employee benefits programs for both active and retired employees of the County, the Constitutional Officers, and various Agencies which includes planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating employee benefits programs, including group health, dental, vision, pharmacy, and life insurance plans, disability insurance and COBRA administration.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Personnel Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, Nursing, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Social Science, or a closely related field PLUS three (3) years of progressively responsible professional experience in employee benefits, employee health programs, or a closely related field. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.

Pay: $65,000.00 – $71,833.00 per year
