Read more: This role works closely with BIA Leadership and is responsible for defining and executing the overall BIA Talent engagement, including the overall operations and programs that will deliver the BIA organizational objectives for Bristol Myers Squibb. In collaboration with the Strategy & Operations team, this role is responsible for promoting BIA internally and externally to attract, retain & develop best-in-class talent for data, analytics and business intelligence. This includes providing critical management and executional oversight for both the BIA Rotational Development (RDP) Program, and the Analytics Exchange (AX) Program, along with flexible support as required for other Strategy & Operations initiatives. The position requires an experienced project/program management professional who demonstrates sound business judgment and can work closely with mid- and senior-level leaders in the organization to develop and drive an effective talent plan in partnership with the HRBP. The selected candidate must also work in a collaborative and agile manner with business partners across business units such as Human Resources, Global Learning & Development, Global Inclusion & Diversity, and IT.Key attributes of the chosen candidate include: strong attention to detail, follow through, excellent communication skills, ability to influence, motivate and inspire, and the ability to anticipate, identify and adapt to internal and external trends impacting BIA talent. Responsibilities • Partner with HR for the development and execution of the BIA Talent strategy in alignment with key objectives and desired talent outcomes. • Work collaboratively with department leaders and cross functional colleagues to leverage existing resources, best practices, and innovative approaches to optimize effectiveness for BIA execution. • Lead core initiatives and programs in support of objectives, including, Rotational Development Program, Analytics Exchange, Growth Experience projects, talent retention and acquisition campaigns, etc. • Manage BIA RDP associates & interns, and the Analytics Exchange leadership team to achieve desired outcomes. • Exposure to sensitive information requiring confidentiality, discretion, good judgment, as well as consistent demonstration of integrity and the BMS core values. • Manage timelines to ensure effective execution, including communicating and coordinating goals, milestones, responsibilities, and risks across work streams to achieve goals • When applicable, manage the budget for initiatives (with relevant partners) • In partnership with the communications lead, design and implement communication and change management plans for new solutions, and ensure follow-through until business solutions are in place or long-term alternate solutions are identified • Sponsor Innovation projects to drive enhanced solutions and development opportunities • Support communications related priorities for BIA including social media campaigns and strategy for talent acquisition • Work in tandem with Strat and Ops team to ensure that communications materials and recruitment materials are aligned with BIA Talent strategy key messaging and values to attract the best talent • Work across the organizational matrix to gather input and align stakeholders to create materials and gather appropriate projects • Demonstrated ability to manage timelines and quality of work using strong organizational, communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills in a cross-functional team • Share best practices with and learn from other teams and business units for efficient adoption of learnings and capabilities • Develop strong relationships with individuals throughout the BIA network and with adjacent functions like Human Resources, Corporate Affairs, Global Inclusion & Diversity, Global Learning & Development, etc. • Provide cross-functional support, as needed, to assist with BIA-wide and/or function-specific projects outside of their day-to-day portfolio. This role will have direct reports from the Rotational Development Program and the Analytics Exchange leadership team; however, the Associate Director will take a lead role with cross-functional teams to create and execute the Talent strategy initiatives and needs to be adept at working in a highly-matrixed organization. The successful candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills; demonstrate a proven ability to drive strategic outcomes aligned with broader company objectives; creativity, initiative, and the ability to quickly learn the business and operate within a complex, fast-paced and changing environment. Strategic, conceptual thinking and strong executional and interpersonal skills required. Qualifications • Successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS), Masters preferred • 7+ years of experience in organizational development, organizational effectiveness, corporate training, program/project management, or related discipline, strongly preferred • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/related market experience preferred • Experience in creating and leading both in-person and virtual training • Experience with SharePoint and digital collaboration tools highly preferred • Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to frame issues and present to business stakeholders • Strong project management skills and the proven ability to successfully work in a matrix organization, lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple complex projects and priorities effectively, with short timelines and under minimal supervision. • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills with the ability to partner effectively within BIA, across the enterprise and with external partners. • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and Teams required (Travel – up to 20%) If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
