The Manager, Compensation Operations will be part of People Services and has responsibility for execution and administration of the Bristol-Myers Squibb (BMS) compensation programs. This includes, but is not limited to, base pay, long and short-term incentives, job evaluations, market pricing and compensation planning.

• Lead and support the execution and delivery of Regional Total Rewards projects and programs, influencing, educating and collaborating with the stakeholders for optimum execution
• Collaborate with Total Reward Service Lines and Centers of Expertise to recommend, operationalize and deliver enterprise-wide solutions
• Leverage rewards expertise in proactively understanding legislation changes, practices and trends for our industry and relevant markets; propose solutions/recommendations to stakeholders to drive the company’s rewards strategy
• Assist leadership on case management analytics and performance indicators and complete analyses for service issues. Propose and implement improvements on process and systems
• Act as a subject matter expert and escalation point for TRO team and other internal and external stakeholders for the resolution and guidance of complex total rewards inquiries or needs within the region
• Identify, design, and develop workable solutions to complex problems within the function, ensuring internal/external stakeholder and wider process impacts are considered
• Support and/or lead in the annual upgrade or implementation of the integration and end-to-end testing of various human resources and total rewards systems
• Assist with compliance and governance of all total rewards plans and programs including identifying risks, participating in audits and recommending and delivering corrective actions
• Identify, recommend and drive opportunities for improvements to existing People Services systems and processes, by working collaboratively to ensure consistency of execution of end-to-end processes, across regions and functional areas
• Collaborate with all functional teams to ensure People Services collectively achieves performance indicators
• Act as subject matter expert for job evaluations and market pricing recommendations in alignment with the global principles and processes
• Lead and execute the administration of annual compensation planning including merit, bonus, LTI

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
• 4+ years of experience in Compensation, Compensation operations or Human Resources with a strong background in Compensation
• Strong knowledge and understanding of HR policies, processes, employment laws and total rewards legislative requirements for the region
• Demonstrated analytical abilities, attention to detail and the ability to successfully manage multiple competing tasks and priorities
• Ability to network across a global organization to align with organization objectives and strategy to operationalize and deliver enterprise-wide solutions.
• Practical operational experience of other HR processes, e.g., talent acquisition, payroll, performance
• Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset

Ideal Candidates will also have:

• Experience working in a multi-cultural/multi-country work environment
• Ability to use business judgment when assessing requirements and performance to identify the right solution to meet business needs
• Experience working within an HR Shared Services delivery model
• Experience working with current HR and TR enabling systems: Workday, ServiceNow
• Compensation specialty certification to demonstrate theoretical understanding and application of HR practices
• Ability to present complex information in a clear and convincing way to stakeholders
