Job Description

We are looking for a Commercial Lines Customer Service Rep (CSR) in our independent insurance agency in Bangor ME. The CSR will provide services, information and help resolve any emerging problems within the clients account with accuracy and efficiency. The best candidate will be genuinely excited to help customers with their needs while providing professional solutions to their insurance inquiries.
Individuals with experience in banking. insurance, financial services and other customer service positions are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will have comfort working with the public by phone, electronically and in person.
Skills should include, but can be developed in the following areas: strong phone skills, active listening, team member, ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively, comfortable with computer and agency management system.Essential Duties:

• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
• Develop strong relationship with company reps and underwriters.
• Service existing clients with all of their insurance needs: payments, questions, coverages, changes/endorsements, claims, quoting, etc.
• Review existing clients and policies on upcoming renewals and cross sell for new business opportunities and identify areas of improvements.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent and some post high school education and training.
• Valid State of Maine Property & Casualty Insurance license is a plus but willing to train the right person to obtain their insurance license within 6 months.
• Customer Service experience is a plus.

Job Type: Full-timePay: $13.00 – $14.00 per hourBenefits:
