HR of One. Our company is a privately held property management firm that oversees 36 communities in Texas, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Arkansas. While we have over 90 employees, most are located on-site, at the communities we manage. We have a small corporate staff that all work remotely, and everyone wears many hats. Turnover has been very high at the site level and minimal at the corporate level.
The Human Resource Director position is full-time, performed remotely, and one-deep, meaning they are solely responsible for all of the company’s HR duties. Therefore, extensive knowledge of all HR facets, including recruiting/onboarding, processing payroll, benefits administration (including 401K), legal compliance, overseeing unemployment claims, thorough knowledge of federal and state employment law, etc. is required. They must also be experienced in ADP Workforce and Microsoft Office.
