Summary
Multimedia Programmer will be required to develop courseware. The technical standards provide criteria specific to six main categories: Software applications and operating systems, web-based information or applications, Telecommunication products, video, or multimedia products.
Responsibilities
Design eLearning that is developed and delivered via electronic means such as Computer Based Training (CBT) and Web Based Training (WBT) modules
JavaScript programming including the JQuery Core API, JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), Extensible Markup Language (XML) document and data encoding, Representational State Transfer (ReST) protocol, HTML and HTML5 markup languages programming, including CSS, SCORM 2004 3rd and 4th editions including the Tin Can API
Interoperability with Learning Management Systems (LMS), such as SHARP, AtlasPro, Meridian, etc.
Enhance course development fully visually and perform multi-media graphic design and develop and implement web based and computer-based training modules and classroom-based presentation support materials.
Select and recommend the proper combination of software programs and tools to meet complex user needs.
Monitor progress and provide status of tasks and deliverables, and escalates risks and issues in a timely manner
Develop, deploy, support, enhance, and maintain eLearning course modules by creating and editing images, photos, video, audio, and animations for use in all learning formats for the Training Division and training of the agency.
Program interactive multimedia courseware (using a variety of software packages) to run in various user environments, such as CD-ROM, low-and high-bandwidth Internet, and networked electronic classrooms.
Agile software development methodologies such as Scrum and test-driven approach
Version control workflow
Demonstrate attention to detail.
Scale design efforts to meet production timelines
Design interactive web pages, web content, and eLearning modules with enhanced graphics that stimulate student/user/viewer experience with minimal load time and incorporate the use of audio- and video-based media to enhance learner engagement.
Test software, and correct discrepancies. Use feedback to modify designs.
Requirements:
Associates degree or higher in Computer Science, Digital Media, or related field, with minimal or no experience.
