Position: Accountant

Location: REMOTE & Frankfort, KY

Duration: Open ended contract with potential to hire

Job Description: Calculated Hire is looking to hire an Accounting professional for one of our clients in the public sector. This is a great opportunity to directly impact the citizens of Kentucky! This resource will be auditing travel vouchers for the department.

• Performs beginning professional level travel audit work in the analysis of financial and statistical records, reports and statements, and accounting policies and procedures; processing invoices, travel audits, research payments, and performs other duties as required.
• Applies professional auditing standards, methods and procedures to identify, analyze and make recommendations concerning the accuracy of accounting systems.
• Examines and tests ledgers, journals and other books of original entry for compliance with federal and/or state policies and regulations.
• Audit in-state travel vouchers
• Process invoices
• Research payment or travel documentation as needed

Minimum Qualifications:

· Meet regular and punctual attendance standards

· Detail and process oriented, high aptitude

· Bachelors degree in Accounting is required

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, i.e., email, Teams, etc.
