Summary:
The Software Developer is responsible for designing, coding, unit testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. This includes researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications in an agile environment. The Software Developer IV can code the most complex system components, be a mentor to Software Developers, and work collaboratively in a team setting or independently when needed. This is an exempt position and reports to the Development Manager.

Essential Functions:

• Participation in Scrum Ceremonies (Daily Stand Ups, Sprint Planning, Retrospectives, Demos)
• Work with a cross-functional ATDD team (Business Analyst, Software Quality Assurance and Project Manager/Scrum Master) to ensure quality during each sprint and throughout the software development lifecycle
• Conceptualizes and develops new software programs and applications.
• Provides input into planning phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects
• Performs research on new technologies or methods as directed by senior or lead developers
• Consistently writes, translates, and codes applications according to specifications
• Create and execute unit and integration testing on developed code
• Continuously review the code to ensure the quality of the design by avoiding complexity, and advocating clarity.
• Consistently meets development commitments in each two-week sprint cycle
• Corrects defects found during testing cycles
• Interact with product owners and software assurance analysts to envision, model and provide initial models and designs that can be built.
• Creates and evaluates unit and integration tests
• Provides input for status of the programming process
• Design the systems based on the received requirements
• Models Company Values in everyday interactions and work habits
• Represent an abstract problem in the form of some finite real object of the system, which can be evaluated, designed and developed
• Design the systems based on the received requirements
• Act as SME for Entry/Mid-Level Developers
• Architect new features/project for application or platform from start to finish
• Troubleshoot and fix production issues as they arise
• Provide training to IT on new technologies
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Must possess strong analytic / logic skills and problem-solving.
• Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical resources.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field

Experience:

• Minimum of seven (7) years of professional experience
• Experience developing full solutions in an agile development setting
