The Associate Logistics Manager is responsible for the day-to-day evaluation and management of logistics cost, service, and capacity for the Cargill BioIndustrial (CBI) business. In this role, you will use data, experience, and expertise to continuously evaluate our North American logistics performance and take actions to make incremental and step-change improvements. You will interact with multiple stakeholders including Cargill Transportation and Logistics (CTL) sourcing and operations teams, plants, supply chain, commercial, quality, and others to pursue the optimal mix of logistics cost, service, and capacity to support a complex and fast-growing business. The role will serve as a backup to the Transportation Analyst and Business Transportation Lead as needed. Key Accountabilities
Plan, control and implement processes related to leading small to medium-sized continuous improvement and smaller commercial projects to improve our competitive position.
Identify, analyze and resolve impediments to good vendor relations, including forecasting and payables performance.
Develop, evaluate, select and foster continuous relationships with key stakeholders on the transportation demand plan 1-12 months forward, in partnership with Supply Chain Planning and Commercial teams.
Use significant knowledge of the transportation and logistics industry to ensure cost-effective, timely execution of all transport modes aligned with business needs, internal policies, and external regulations.
Provide first-level support for daily operational issues on the management of a 150+ railcar fleet by analyzing and collecting data, in partnership with CTL Operations and/or Sourcing, to ensure cost-effective utilization and ownership.
Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of four years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
One year of transportation operations experience.
Experience in two major logistics domains/modes.
Tableau or/and Power BI experience.
