Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resources or related field or two years related experience and an Associates Degree.
Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Excellent time management skills with proven ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
SHRM or HRCI Certified Professional or ability to be certified within 12 months of hire.
Principle Responsibilities and Duties:
1.Maintain awareness/knowledge of new and revised legislation affecting HR. Interpret, communicate and provide support relating to Employee Relations, EEO/AA and Employment regulations.
2.Communicate with employees, supervisors, Occupational Health and Workers’ Comp Department regarding work related injuries.
3.Maintain at each CHC site appropriate bulletin boards, job postings, and regulatory notices.
4.Review and process paperwork related to position requisitions for new/replacement positions.
5.Conduct employment background checks (CORI), Sexual Offender Registry (SORI), Office of Inspector General (OIG), on prospective employees.
6.Regularly report staffing patterns by position, department and site (fte to budget).
7.Assist with new hire orientation program, and process new hire paperwork.
8.Assist in developing a Human Resource Information System (HRIS).
9.Participate as directed in executing proposed initiatives for the Human Resource Department as developed by the CHC Management Team and Board of Directors.
10.Participate in special projects or other assigned duties as needed.
11.Regularly report terminated employee information to all current insurance carriers.
12.Complete Requests for Verification of Employment from different agencies.
13.Review employees Personal Files for updated License/Certification Information.
14.Manage processes of scheduling Interview for open positions.
15.Work closely with Supervisors to ensure each employee’s Performance Evaluation is completed on time.
16.Generate monthly QI Report.
17.Process and keep track of employee FMLA requests.
18.Assist with payroll processing as needed.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
This position requires compliance with Caring Health Center’s compliance standards, including its Standards of Conduct, Compliance Program, and policies and procedures. Such compliance will be an element considered as part of the regular performance evaluation.
From time to time, this position requires the ability to work long and arduous hours.
