What is a Summary of this Position?
You will provide comprehensive support regarding the day-to-day operations of the payroll function ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing and support local HR initiatives.
What are the Responsibilities of this Role?
Process weekly payroll
Manage all additions/deletions/changes in the HIRS system and in payroll
Maintain attendance records in accordance with the corporate Attendance Policy
Prepare payroll reports on weekly, monthly, or quarterly basis as required
Ensure the company is properly registered in relevant states for payroll tax purposes
Resolve payroll discrepancies
Handle onboarding and conduct new hire orientation
Prepare and process new hire paperwork
Perform employment verifications and background checks
Document and file all employee changes
Maintain employee files in accordance with federal employment laws
Maintain client confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
Maintain a separate filing system for I-9 documents, ensuring accuracy in completion
Maintain AAP logs and follow the OFCCP guidelines
Create and maintain corporate org charts
Cross train in benefits processing and back-up HR Manager
Support department special projects and administrative functions as needed
Perform and complete other duties/tasks as assigned by management
Coordinate year-end processing to include supplemental payrolls and W2s.
Prepare funding reports to fund payroll bank accounts.
Maintain confidentiality with a high level of integrity.
Ensure that all federal, state, local laws, and corporate payroll-related compliance matters are proactively managed.
Order Office Supplies and other tasks as assigned
What are the Must Haves for Applicants?
1-3 years of related payroll and human resources experience
Ability to work in a dynamic environment and multitask
Proven experience working with multiple levels within an organization
Exceptional business communication skills, both verbal and written, including interpersonal
and active listening skills
Knowledge of federal and state laws
Experience handling sensitive and confidential information
