The Human Resources Generalist provides support to the mission of CHS by supporting all personnel activities performed by the Human Resources Department.
Facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants by collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required to create job announcements, opening requisitions in the HRIS system and screening applicants daily.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to:
Assist walk-in applicants as needed.
Conduct reference checks for selected applicants.
Complete background checks and bill for them.
Maintain regulatory tracking requirements including but not limited to insurance, driver’s license, and background screenings for current employees and HUD Housing clientele.
Aid the VP of Human Resources to create the annual Affirmative Action Plan.
Assist in preparing files for inspections (CARF, OSHA, etc.)
Assist in processing policies monthly as needed.
Backs up other HR staff as needed upon their absence.
Responsible for knowledge and implementation of agency and departmental policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Human Resources.
Completes training as stated by CHS policy HRD-P-022 – Training.
Responsible for promoting a positive Safety Culture is expected and necessary to make CHS a safe place in which to work. Safe work practices and policies for this position shall be reviewed and followed.
REQUIRED EDUCATION:
Associates degree (AA or AAS) preferably in related field or combination of education and experience to equal four years.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Two years of related work experience
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Knowledge of UKG platform preferred.
MISCELLANEOUS REQUIREMENTS
Must provide valid driver’s license and proof of personal valid vehicle insurance.

PAY RANGE: $19.98 – $24.01/hour
