THE OPPORTUNITY

Our client is a privately held, private equity backed manufacturing company in the Eastern San Francisco Bay
Area.

We are seeking a Human Resources Director to assist in expanding the HR function for the East Bay site.

The HR Director will provide strategic counseling to the Leadership Team on all aspects of Human Resources, the Site Management Team in helping to achieve business goals and objectives, and is responsible for the establishment, implementation and administration of a wide range of Human Resources programs across a 3 shift; 7 day manufacturing facility.

Highlighted responsibilities include employee relations, benefits, recruiting, Human Resource Information Systems, compensation, training, recruiting, employee retention and ensuring compliance with all applicable laws.

HUMAN RESOURCES DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide strategic counseling to the Site Leadership Team on various Human Resources topics to support moving the business forward.
• Responsible for employee relations, recruitment and staffing at all levels, workforce planning, benefit administration, Human Resource Information Systems, communications, training and development, discipline, diversity programs and community relations.
• Establish and lead the development, dissemination and interpretation of personnel policies and their implementation at the site, providing consultation to the management team on leadership initiatives.
• Provide independent insight into the impact of such initiatives on personnel.
• Work with the plant manager and staff to lead the development of a training procedure for the site and establish and maintain associated training documentation, using Lean tools and processes under the People Development Pillar.
• Work with management team to develop and deliver required training and employee growth programs for new and existing employees, including development and implementation of new employee orientation and training program.
• Administer all new employee orientations.
• Oversee the employment process including recruitment, selection, placement, development, compensation, corrective action, discipline and termination, including the use of temporary employees.
• Maintain HRIS systems ensuring accurate data and any/all changes processed in a timely manner. Audit data on regular basis related to HRIS, Paylocity and Training information.
• Provide HR reporting for site and any local, federal, state requirements.
• Monitor and manage risk associated with local, federal, state law.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field.
• 10+ years of Human Resources experience.
• Manufacturing, Distribution, Consumer Goods, or Private Equity experience preferred.
• SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PHR or MBA preferred.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Intellectual horsepower as evidenced by strong analytical skills.
• Successful cross-functional project management experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Job Type: Contract

Pay: From $80.00 per hour
