Our Ways of Working
We have adopted a hybrid, flexible working schedule. This position would be eligible for a hybrid schedule. We have eight locations in Maine and New Hampshire and this position is based in our Bridgton, ME office. Some travel to others offices may be required.
The Role of the Human Resources Manager
The Human Resources Manager(HRM)at Chalmers Insurance Group serves as a strategic business partner supporting all areas of the company and leads all aspects related to “people and culture.” The right candidate will have a solid HR generalist background including employee relations, benefits management, and recruitment, as well as experience leading a team. We are looking for someone highly motivated, focused on a positive culture, a strategic thinker, an excellent communicator, and is excited to be a part of #ChalmersNation. This role is a vital member of the Chalmers Leadership Team, has complete ownership of the day-to-day HR strategy and coordinates directly with the owners/Senior Leadership Team.

· Oversees the operations of the HR Department including recruitment, benefits, employee relations, compliance, payroll, etc.
· Serves as a strategic HR business partner within the leadership team.
· Acts as a coaching leader to their direct report, the HR Generalist.
· Ensures all open positions are filled with candidates who fit the Chalmers culture.
· Assists the Leadership Team in the development, perpetuation, and creation of career paths within the organization to satisfy current and future needs.
Who You Are
· A passionate HR leader with 7+ years of progressive experience; SPHR or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
· Has a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, leadership, business or a related field.
· Has 3+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
· A supportive leader and coach who inspires teams.
