Job Description

Positions of Interior Design Lecturers are open for application. Qualifications and responsibilities for such positions are as stated below.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Plan and teach in assigned group of courses – approximately taking up to 24 hours per week – with clarity in content and delivery
• Plan and design courses including preparing curriculum/teaching materials
• Monitor and maintain high student morale, motivation and discipline
• Assist with school and academic activities, for examples initiate topics for lectures/workshops in designated fields, prepare students for thesis and exhibition, provide career mentoring and assistance for students, engage in student activities, etc.
• Provide relevant technical skills set, i.e. Model Building, CAD, etc., when needed

Qualifications:
• Master Degree (preferably) or Bachelor Degree with extensive experience in Interior Design or Product Design or relevant fields from recognized academic institutions
• At least 3-5 year work experience with a credible portfolio
• Effective communication in English
• Preferably 2-year lecturing experience
• Familiarity with subjects of:
1. Interior Design, Architectural Design & Survey, Architecture Intervention, Exhibition Design and
2. Geometric Design, Analysis of Styles, History of Design, Design in Trend or
3. Industrial Product Design, Model Building, Communication Art
• Ability to adapt to a multi-cultural setting with strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle students of different nationalities
