JOB POSTING
This position will be filled at the Project Manager, Project Manager Senior, or Project Manager Principal level, contingent upon the qualifications of the selected applicant.
The Project Manager, Technology Infrastructure is responsible for leading project teams in the day to day execution of projects of low to moderate complexity to achieve an established set of outcomes. Responsibilities include all phases of projects, including initiation, planning, execution, and close-out on time and within budget.
A Project Manager may be assigned to manage facility construction or major maintenance projects in areas such as hydro power plant rehab, utility transmission or distribution system construction, major building construction, and/or telecommunications building infrastructure.
SALARY RANGE
In addition to a competitive starting salary range of $86,480 – $108,100 (Project Manager) $96,880 – $121,100 (Project Manager Senior) $108,160-$135,200 (Project Manager Principal) (based on qualifications, skills and abilities), Chelan PUD employees also enjoy outstanding benefits which include the option of a zero cost medical plan (medical, dental and vision for all eligible dependents), short and long-term disability, Washington State Public Employee’s Retirement System, Deferred Compensation (with company matching funds up to 5%), 11 holidays and initial personal leave accrual at 21 days per year.

Post-Secondary Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.S., B.A.) in Construction Management; Electrical, Civil, or Mechanical Engineering; Network Engineering, or a related field, from four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Incumbents are required to obtain and maintain PMP certification from the Project Management Institute within 24 months of entry into the role.
Experience: Typically requires a minimum of three (3) years’ experience performing construction or major maintenance project management. Candidates with experience managing multiple projects in the following areas are preferred:
Preference will be given to candidates with experience best aligned with the types of projects to be managed.

Knowledge

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, basic calculus, and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory, and factor analysis.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Complexity:
Prioritizes and performs a broad range of moderately complex technical or professional work. Solves day-to-day problems using established policies, regulations, or work rules.
Decision Making:
Works independently, under limited supervision. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. Trains and mentor’s others. May act as a team leader. Advises management on best work methods, processes and/or application of policy. Receives guidance in complex situations.

To perform this job successfully, an individual is required to have basic knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and PeopleSoft Financials. Is also required to have intermediate knowledge of Maximo Asset Management; Microsoft Excel, Project, and Word; Primavera; and General Office Equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving electrically energized components; fumes or airborne particles; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

A valid driver’s license is required at hire. A valid Washington State driver’s license is required within 30 days of employment.
