Position Summary:

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing Human Resources Programs, Benefits Administration and Payroll process.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Collaborates with the Sr. Human Resources Director in carrying out various Human Resources programs and procedures for all company employees.
• Participates in the administration of the compensation program; supports the performance appraisal process.
• Leads the benefits administration process, including claims resolution, approval of invoices for payment, distribution of annual employee notices as required and assisting with benefits reporting requirements. This includes but not limited to: Medical, prescription drugs, dental, STD/LTD, 401K, and others.

· Leads the talent acquisition process, including; recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants, collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings. Establishes and track hiring data and reports on results

· Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.

• Runs reports and completes EEO-1 and VETS-4212 annually for management review and filing.
• Prepares the Affirmative Action Plan (AAP).
• Conducts new-employee orientations; administers pre-employment tests; conducts reference checks, and maintains applicant and current employee EEO records.
• Conducts exit interviews. Prepares analytics to develop and execute retention plans.

· Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.

· Oversees employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

• Provides organizational training and development efforts.
• Maintains Human Resources Information System (HRIS) records and compiles reports from the database as needed. Prepares and discusses with Sr. Human Resources Director reports such as: Monthly and ytd hires, promos, terms, overtime and others. Provides new and innovative ideas to improve process.
• Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

· Provides support and guidance management, and other staff when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise; may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodations, investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.

· Manages and tracks employee leave of absence process, provides information to employees regarding the Family Medical Leave Act, NYS Paid Family Leave, and Disability benefits.

• Responsible for processing weekly and bi-weekly payroll.
• Process 401k – weekly deposits, changes and terminations
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Qualifications Required:

· A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or Organizational Development, Master’s degree preferred

· 5 years of experience in the HR field.

• Human resource experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential desirable.
• Proficient in using HRIS databases and Microsoft Suite
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and writing
• Core competencies: Communication, Critical Evaluation, Data Driven, HR Expertise (Compliance and Talent Management), Relationship Management and Ethical Practice.
