SUMMARY
The Human Resources Manager oversees & manages the daily operations & functions of Human Resources, including but not limited to tasks related to benefits administration, employee relations, training, employment & onboarding guidance, safety and general human resources administrative duties. Ensures compliance with Chevy Chase Club policies and procedures as well as with all applicable human resource-related laws and regulations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following:
GENERAL OFFICE ADMINISTRATION
Performs customer service functions of answering inquiries by staff (current, former and future) as well as vendors, guests and members via phone, in person or electronic communication.
Provides administrative support to Director of HR as necessary
Maintains employee files according to standards
Communicates regularly and timely with the Director of HR regarding tasks, events, inquiries,
concerns, violations and other relevant information
Submits updates of procedures to Director of Human Resources as approved changes to procedures
are made
Assists the Director of Human Resources with various research projects and/or other special
projects and prepares correspondence as requested or necessary
BENEFITS
Determines eligibility for insurance benefits, providing information and notification letters to applicable employees
Conducts Benefit Enrollment/Orientation for eligible employees by the 10th of each month –
communicates list of invitees/attendees to HRD by 1st of preceding month (Insurances and 401k Plan)
Ensures accurate completion & submission of all benefit enrollment forms from eligible employees and
enrollment into carriers systems
Submits Payroll Adjustment sheet to Payroll Associate for Insurance deductions
Reconciles Benefit Bills & submits to HR Director for approval
Maintains correspondence with Insurance Carriers and/or Brokers in handling enrollment issues
and technical issues related to Benefit Enrollments and Maintenance.
Oversees COBRA administration including preparation & maintenance of all eligibility
paperwork, monthly billing submission to Accounting and maintenance with Insurance carriers
Files Workers Compensation Claims as necessary and handles ongoing correspondence with Employee
and Claim Representatives to ensure proper reporting and compliance through the claim process.
Consults and assists employees regarding FMLA and Short-Term Disability Claim process to
ensure proper reporting and coverage during extended leave.
EMPLOYEE RELATIONS
Updates Tasty Chase Communication board, bulletin boards and decorations regularly
Track, maintain and issue access for Employee Locker Rooms
Coordinates employee relations purchases; flowers, service awards, tournament awards, raffles
and other necessary items
Plans, organizes and helps execute the Employee Holiday Party, Employee Picnic, Employee
Bowling events, the Employee Holiday Gift Distribution Party, and any special parting or retiring
employee events.
Orders annual employee service awards and gifts and prepares program agenda for Employee
Holiday Party.
Develop and execute Employee Relations calendar of events
Assists Managers with proper procedures regarding employee performance and/or behavioral
issues. Provides guidance in accordance with Club policies and expectations regarding disciplinary
procedure
Foster strong relationships with operations by making accessibility and responsiveness a
priority
SAFETY
Maintains OSHA 300 Log- ensuring current/updated information
Provides (e-mails) Director of Human Resources a copy of OSHA Log by 30th of each month
Organizes and conducts Safety Program which includes organizing training in CPR, First Aid,
Bloodborne Pathogens, and Automatic Defibrillation.
Prepares and maintains OSHA 300 Logs and completes OSHA surveys.
Maintains master list and file of MSDS sheets, maintains OSHA required safety written
procedures and plans.
Reports work-related injuries and illnesses to insurance carrier and follows up on claims.
Reports internal safety statistics.
Works with Director and/or Assistant Director of Security in overseeing Safety Committee and Safety programs
Updates Club vehicle driver’s list annually for insurance purposes.
EMPLOYMENT
Assists with Affordable Care Act administration by answering questions from Department Managers regarding hour requirements to ensure understanding of compliance requirements.
Assist Staffing Specialist with recruiting/posting needs
Attend Recruiting events/job fairs as necessary
Assist Staffing Specialist and AGM with Staff Orientations as necessary
Post and maintain current labor law posters (Federal & State)
PAYROLL
Responsible for time clock enrollments and assists with any issues related to the time clock
Assists staff with HCM enrollments and provides account administration services when necessary
Perform back-up payroll tasks as necessary
