Minimum Qualification Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of clerical experience, one of which shall have involved fingerprint classification and filing work.
Experience must have demonstrated knowledge of the Henry (or equivalent) and AFIS Systems of fingerprint classification, comparison, and filing; fingerprint classification formulas, symbols and terminology; pertinent Hawaii Revised Statutes and judicial processes; file extension methods; office practices and procedures; and the ability to take, analyze, classify and compare fingerprints; follow oral and written instruction.
Substitution: Business school or college will substitute for experience on a month-for-month basis for up to two years of the required three years of clerical experience. There is no substitution for the fingerprint classification and filing work.
