Independently performs a variety of specialized tasks and administrative support services for the Honolulu Liquor Commission; records proceedings using audio/video equipment; transcribes verbatim minutes or prepares written summaries; composes correspondence on behalf of the Commission; conducts research and gathers information for meetings; provides assistance to the commissioners and public as requested; and performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualification Requirements
At time of application, you must be a citizen, national or permanent resident alien of the United States or a non-citizen eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience that demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of clerical experience, one of which shall have involved transcribing minutes of legal, board, or commission meetings, conferences, hearings and/or other similar proceedings.
Substitution: Business school or college level credits from an accredited four-year college or university will substitute for experience on a month-for-month basis for up to two years of general clerical experience. (Note: There is NO substitution for the one year of clerical experience which shall have involved transcribing minutes of legal, board, or commission meetings, conferences, hearings and/or other similar proceedings.)

Typing proficiency of 40 or more net wpm:
This class of work requires you to type at 40 or more net words per minute.
