Minimum Qualification Requirements
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:
Equivalent to graduation from high school. Responsible work experience which demonstrated the ability to perform the essential functions of the job may be substituted for education.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT:
Three years of clerical experience, one year of which shall have been in a tax field where familiarity with tax laws, rules, regulations, and procedures was involved.
Substitution: College education may substitute on a year-for-year basis for the general clerical experience requirement. There is no substitute for the one year of tax-related clerical experience.

Desirable Experience: Previous work experience demonstrating knowledge of real property tax laws, rules, and regulations, as well as assessment and appraisal terminology and procedures. Experience in the use of a personal computer to input, edit, and retrieve data using databases, spreadsheets, word processing, or similar programs. Proficiency in using a typewriter.
