Performs intermediate-level administrative support or technical program assistance in disseminating information, maintaining filing systems, and performing internal administrative support work in accounting, procurement, contract development, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable. Work is performed under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

1. Performs a variety of advanced administrative functions to include accounting, procurement, contract development, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable using independent thought, analyze and decision making.
2. Assist with budget analysis/preparation.
3. Prepares, interprets, and disseminates information concerning agency programs and procedures.
4. Prepares, edits, and distributes correspondence, reports, studies, forms, and documents for the division.
5. Responds to inquiries regarding technical program or administrative regulations, policies, and procedures.
6. Coordinate’s meetings, conferences, and seminars for division.
7. Develops administrative and technical policies and procedures for program, division or unit.
8. Develops, coordinates, and maintains record keeping and filing systems.
9. May assist supervisor in compiling and analyzing data, making calculations, preparing reports, or with the implementation of program planning.
10. May conduct research on technical or policy issues, compose, design, or edit department publications such as brochures, forms, manuals, and reports.
11. May develop training materials.
12. May train or supervise the work others.
13. Regular, reliable, and punctual attendance is an essential function of the job.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE:
Six (6) years administrative support experience involving two (2) or more of the following:
Accounts payable/receivable.
Invoice reconciliation and payment.
Correspondence/publication preparation.
Procurement.
Budget analysis/preparation.
Contract administration.
Policy/procedure development.
Records management and/or report writing.
Financial management.
EQUIVALENCY(IES):
A bachelor’s degree in a business, education, or social science field plus two (2) years of the specified experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
An associate’s degree in any field plus four (4) years of the specified experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
A bachelor’s degree or higher in a non-specified field plus four (4) years of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
A master’s degree or higher in a business, education or social science field will meet the education and experience requirement.
LICENSE(S) and/or CERTIFICATION(S):
Some positions may require valid driver’s license and good driving record.
Equipment and Fleet Management:
Knowledge and or experience in developing and managing a training program, develop and presenting environmental, safety and other training presentations, creating policies and procedures.

The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.
For evaluation purposes, acceptable qualifying experience for all positions must have been in a paid capacity unless noted otherwise in the minimum qualifications for the posted position.
Additionally, 30+ hours per week will be counted as full-time employment and will receive full credit for the amount of time employed. A minimum of 15 through 29 work hours per week will be counted as part-time employment and will receive half credit for the amount of time employed.
