Essential Functions
1 Assists in maintaining the airport in compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) rules for airfield security, City codified ordinances, and general airport rules and environmental regulations.
2 May perform labor, administration, or other professional skills in the Aircraft Operations Area (AOA) of all City of Dallas owned and operated airports; participates in operational tasks including maintenance and repairs while ensuring adherence to compliance standards and other provisions.
3 Performs daily safety, security and operational inspections of the airport’s equipment, runways, taxiways, perimeter fences and gates for compliance with Federal, State, and local airport rules and regulations.
4 Monitors aviation operations and trust specifications; provides professional direction and administration as an agent of the trust.
5 Assesses the type and extent of damage to concrete or asphalt, and selects best equipment and process in compliance with regulations; uses correct equipment and tools including personal protective equipment to perform repairs as needed.
6 Responds to and provides assistance as needed, during aircraft emergencies facility equipment failure, airfield lighting failures, building/structure emergencies, pavement failures, hazardous incidents, and related emergency situations.
7 Maintains work records, maintenance and repair logs, vehicle inspection forms, daily work logs, FAA inspection records, and other documentation; assists the public by properly responding to routine questions or complaints and requests for service; responds as dispatched by Airport Police to remove vehicles from the terminal area that violate TSA regulations.
8 Performs any and all other work as needed or assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION:
High school diploma or GED.
EXPERIENCE:
Three (3) years of customer service experience which involved responding to complex inquiries, heavy data entry, analyzing documentation for accuracy, processing applications/permits and/or compliance/credentialing verification.
EQUIVALENCY(IES):
A current Airport Certified Employee (ACE) – Trusted Agent certification will meet the education and experience requirements.
Associates degree (or higher) in any field plus one (1) year of the required experience will meet the education and experience requirements.
OTHER REQUIREMENT(S):
Must successfully pass the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security threat assessment.
Must maintain a clear Transportation Security Administration (TSA) status.
Must successfully complete a fingerprint based Criminal History Background Check (CHRC).
Must maintain a clear Criminal History Background Check (CHRC) while occupying any position requiring access to the Security Identification Display Area (SIDA).
Must pass Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background investigation.
Subject to varying shifts including working some weekends.

Spanish/English bilingual skills preferred.

Intermediate to Advanced PC skills.
Strong customer service and innovative thinking skills.
Ability to perform basic arithmetic calculations to perform job related functions.
Ability to pay close attention to details.
Ability to attend to routine tasks and check paperwork for accuracy.
Ability to operate office equipment including computer, typewriter, copier, and fax machine.

The salary listed on this job posting is the starting salary range; amount offered will depend upon qualifications.
For evaluation purposes, acceptable qualifying experience for all positions must have been in a paid capacity unless noted otherwise in the minimum qualifications for the posted position.
Additionally, 30+ hours per week will be counted as full-time employment and will receive full credit for the amount of time employed. A minimum of 15 through 29 work hours per week will be counted as part-time employment and will receive half credit for the amount of time employed.
