City of Oak Grove Kentucky Hiring for Accountant at Oak Grove, KY Full Time

The City of Oak Grove is seeking an Accountant to work in our Finance Department. This position is responsible for all of Accounts Receivable. These duties include ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations, processing and monitoring incoming payments, and securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts. This is a full-time position with benefits. Standard working hours are Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. The City of Oak Grove is an Equal Opportunity Employer.

Responsibilities:

• Manages invoicing, billing, and utility readings
• Process business licenses, property, payroll, and ABC taxes
• Prepare utility reports for the Public Works Department
• Maintain accurate records, electronic files, and post payments
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Minimum requirements:

• The ability to be bonded through the City’s insurance company
• 3-5 years of Accounting experience
• Bachelor’s Degree in General Business or Accounting

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,442.81 – $61,007.31 per year
