The Office of Community & Civic Life is seeking a part-time Youth Administrative Specialist I to join a dynamic team working to promote a culture of civic engagement for all Portlanders.
The Multnomah Youth Commission is a youth policy body for Multnomah County and the City of Portland. The Commission is made up of a diverse group of youth organizers and leaders dedicated to equity and justice, representing youth who live, work, or attend school in Multnomah County.
The Administrative Specialist I will support key program activities and operations of the youth program. This position will increase the impact of the program by supporting administrative and operations functions, working with current program staff.
This position will be expected to regularly attend weekend and evening meetings; schedule will depend on the availability of the employee and program. This position is also expected to travel between several locations, transport supplies for large group meetings, pick up and deliver food for meetings, and occasionally provide transportation for youth.

Work Location
Currently, many positions with the City of Portland are being performed remotely due to COVID. In the future, current positions classified as “full-time remote” will: 1) become a remote/onsite mix or 2) revert to full-time at a city work location.
